Process
I have a fascination with the craft of storytelling.
The most impactful part of the creative process is uncovering an authentic story. Our search for a narrative—driven by the human affinity for a shared connection—inevitably directs where we invest our attention. A brand's sustainability relies on the trust of their audience, and the strongest way to build trust [that does not lose relevance] is through authenticity.
It is vital for
a storyteller
to tell the
story clearly.
Clarity is
where truth
comes from.

Therefore, a brand's values will establish their most potent differentiation, a truly unique selling proposition which can foster the creative vision. If you do not invest the time or effort to tell your story, then your audience is left to shape their own perceptions of your brand.
Design then becomes a tool, as a form of communication, and one that is most effective when it can overcome ambiguity. A negative emotional response to ambiguity will occur when an audience doesn't resonate with a story or recognize the purpose of a brand (or product) in context.
